Eli the Wonder Weiner

Back when my little guy was just a wee baby...
This is Eli, my little love bug!  We have had him since November and it is amazing to see how much he has grown since then.  He is an English Cream Mini Dachshund.  I have been wanting one forever and we decided that after our wedding would be a more appropriate time to take on the challenge.

Eli is a wonderful dog and has such a sweet little personality.  He loves all of his toys and makes sure to give them equal attention.  He will do anything for treats and if one didn't know better, you might think we never feed the little guy because he is such a beggar!

Eli is now 5 months old and it's truly unbelievable to see how big he has gotten.

We love him so much.  He makes me laugh every day.  He loves his walks and is learning tons of new tricks.  He can sit, stay, and even do a trick that we call the prairie dog.  He sits up on his bottom with his body upright just like a prairie dog.  This is usually his tactic when begging for something we are eating.  I think he has figured out how adorable I think it is.  He absolutely loves other dogs and can't wait to play with anyone and everyone.  He is one playful little guy!

I absolutely love Dachshunds and I am so glad that we made Eli part of our family.

My Valentine

As Valentine's Day approaches, I can't help thinking about how blessed I am to have such an amazing husband.  He is not going to appreciate that I have posted all of these funny pictures of him but I just can't help myself.  He is such a clown and that is what I love about him.  He makes life so much fun!
 Who could resist this face?

I have never met anyone that can make me laugh like Kyle.  When I am having a bad day and feel like the world is coming to an end, he knows how to make it better.
He has the most amazing sense of humor.

This is Kyle on a camping trip.  He made it his mission to gross my mom out by not washing his hair so that he could make a mohawk!  He was successful!  She was completely grossed out and annoyed.

Kyle has a great relationship with my parents.  It means a lot to me that they get along so well.

Kyle on his 27th Birthday.
I threw him a suprise party at the IMAX theater.
I couldn't help myself once they told me that they would post a picture of the Birthday Boy on the big screen.  Everyone in the theater thought this was hilarious!  So did Kyle...

I love his passion for XBOX!  This is what I call his secretary gear.
This is Kyle dominating MAN DATE NIGHT.
I try not to play too many games with Kyle.  I guess I am a sore loser.
It's rare that I ever win unless we end up on the same team.

Being a boy!  This is on our honeymoon in Hawaii.
We had such an amazing time.  I love his sense of adventure.
We went snorkeling, hiking, tried new food, saw the volcanos, and really experienced Hawaii.
He is also so patient of me.  I did a lot of shopping too and he was a really good sport.

It is a wonderful thing to have such a perfect companion.  I am thankful for him every day.  He is my best friend in the whole world.  I look forward to our many adventures together.  There is no one in the world that I would rather experience life with.  We truly are the perfect balance for eachother.

I am one lucky girl to have such an amazing Valentine!

Cara and Caydence's Baby Shower

Well...where to begin.  This past weekend I attended a baby shower for a good friend who is having TWINS!  I couldn't be more excited for her.  I decided to make her a little something for the babies so here is a picture of the little dresses I made.  I love that they are opposite.  I have a feeling that the babies will be tiny so who knows when these will actually fit.

The baby shower was adorable!  The theme was poppies and everything was a soft orange and grey.  They had good food, fun games, and cupcakes that looked like babies with little pacifiers in their mouths.  I must say, putting together the gift and attending the shower made me think more about having a baby.  I hope that urge goes away for now.  I need to focus on school and getting that done first so that I can enjoy my future children.

So, on that note...these are the little dresses that I made for my new little twin friends!  This was my first attempt at this pattern and I think they turned out very nice!  On to the next project!
